Job summary

Qualifications

• Six months of customer service experience.
• Basic computer skills for word processing and data entry.
• Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with patients and fellow caregivers to deliver the highest level of customer/patient satisfaction.
• Ability to protect privacy, confidentiality, and PHI of patients, members, and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check-in/out patients; verify demographic data on registration system.
• Document all phone calls accurately in the EMR.
• Schedule appointments for visits, procedures, diagnostic tests, referrals, and consultations.
• Register patients over the phone or in person; update required demographic data and verify insurance information.
• Obtain copies of insurance cards and IDs; handle pre-certification/prior authorization where applicable.
• Assist patients with forms for regulatory and billing needs; educate on financial assistance; process payments.
• Stay current on responsibilities by reviewing communications and clinic updates to maintain high performance.
