Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience in a healthcare environment.
• Experience in a customer service role.
• Computer experience (data entry, Microsoft Word, Excel, EMR).

Responsibilities

• Maintains ongoing communication with client regarding status of care, treatment plan, and all related health care needs.
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls including calls for scheduling, coordinating tests and results, referrals and billing questions; investigate, monitor and resolve inquiries.
• Coordinate the scheduling of various specialist appointments for patients.
• Establish a network of contacts and assist with departmental communication and marketing strategies.
• Manage schedules to optimize resource use including providers, rooms and equipment.
