Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Patient Liaison to support clinic operations in Illinois. You will manage schedules, coordinate care options, and communicate with patients and staff to ensure adherence to treatment plans and smooth patient flow.

This role emphasizes accurate data collection, assisting with billing coordination, and maintaining strong relationships with providers, patients, and departments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2 years previous healthcare experience.
• Experience in a customer service role.

Responsibilities

• Manages schedules to optimize use of resources including providers, rooms and equipment.
• Performs schedule maintenance and coordinates care alternatives for patients impacted by changes.
• Communicates with patients and clinical staff to ensure compliance with prescribed treatment plans.
• Assists Practice Manager with data collection and analysis related to physician productivity and resource utilization.
• Facilitates resolution/prevention of billing errors and denials including pre-certifications or referrals as needed.
• Registers patients and schedules or coordinates scheduling of appointments.
• Provides patient education information and/or materials as needed.
• Maintains strong relationships with patients, providers, staff, and vendors.
• Answers inquiries related to practice operations.
• Conducts follow-up with patients to ensure compliance with testing, prescriptions and plan of care.
