Job summary

Johns Hopkins Intrastaff is seeking a patient services coordinator to support outpatient Palliative Medicine clinics. You will coordinate day-to-day clinical operations, schedule appointments, collect insurance information, register patients in Epic, and assist telemedicine visits.

The role requires a high school diploma, 3–4 years of ambulatory healthcare experience, EPIC certification before starting, and strong communication and multitasking abilities in a Johns Hopkins-aligned environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–4 years of experience in a service-oriented/ambulatory healthcare setting preferred.
• EPIC certification required before starting the assignment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, confidential patient service at outpatient clinics.
• Schedule new and follow-up appointments; assist with cancellations and rescheduling.
• Collect insurance information and complete patient registration in Epic.
• Coordinate telemedicine visits and support patient scheduling and pre-registration.
• Refer patients to appropriate resources and guide them through location and parking details.
• Manage department queues and follow-up with no-show patients as needed.
