Description: The Patient Services Representative (MRI) is responsible for patient registration, check-in, and clinical support duties. This position also coordinates the prior authorization process to ensure patients have the necessary information regarding imaging insurance coverage and benefits. This is a full-time role working M-F from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm at our Plymouth location.

Essential Functions:
  1. Greet and register patients; collect co-payments, pre-payments, insurance information, and photo ID.
  2. Verify and document insurance information as per current practices.
  3. Schedule patients accurately and timely in the practice management system.
  4. Communicate appointment details, directions, check-in times, referral info, and copayments to patients.
  5. Verify active insurance coverage and benefits for imaging.
  6. Initiate and follow-up on prior authorization requests.
  7. Maintain knowledge of healthcare plan requirements and networks.
  8. Prepare and manage charts.
  9. Maintain communication with patients, families, and staff.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • High School diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • Customer service experience required.
  • Administrative or Medical Office experience preferred.
  • Insurance prior authorization experience strongly preferred.
Benefits & Compensation:

Starting pay varies based on education, skills, and experience. A $1,500 sign-on bonus is offered with a 12-month commitment (not available to internal applicants). Benefits include Medical, Dental & Vision plans, Maternity Bundle, 401K with Profit Sharing, Tuition Reimbursement, and discounts.

  • Compliance with policies, procedures, and laws (e.g., HIPAA, Stark, OSHA).
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work in a clinical setting, including standing, bending, lifting, and moving between floors.
  • Work efficiently, handle interruptions, and meet deadlines.
  • Professional communication and interaction skills.
  • Prioritize tasks and work independently.
  • Travel to other locations if required.
