At CHLA, your work will help build brighter tomorrows for the children and families we serve.### Overview**Schedule:** Monday-Friday; 8:30am-5:00pm**Purpose Statement/Position Summary:** The Patient Services Rep III provides patient-families with a positive experience at CHLA by performing clerical tasks primarily associated with answering incoming calls, registration, and patient check-in/out procedures, collection of patient co-pay or deductibles, scheduling and verifying patient appointments. Completes financial clearance and authorization duties, serves as the administrative support for assigned providers. Works closely with assigned providers to ensure follow up care is completed. Assists with creation and review of divisional performance reports and metrics.**Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience** **Required:*** One year experience in customer service, preferably in a medical front office setting.* Basic knowledge of computers, filing and organizational skills required.* Ability to deal effectively with the public.**Preferred:*** Bilingual English/Spanish.* 3+ years in medical office setting.* Experience coordinating outpatient surgical procedures.* Experience with patient scheduling, insurance verification, and authorization submissions.* Advanced knowledge of insurance plans, coverage verification, and referral/authorization processes.* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.* Strong collaborative skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.* Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service while managing multiple priorities.**Education/Licensure/Certification:** High school diploma or GED required.### Pay Scale Information**$55,702.40-$74,256.00**CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates who meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates who exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
