Job Summary

Community Health Partnership of Illinois (CHP) is seeking a compassionate, organized, and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our team at the CHP Harvard Health Center.

The Patient Services Representative serves as an important first point of contact for patients and visitors and plays a key role in creating a welcoming and efficient healthcare experience. This position is responsible for supporting front-desk operations, coordinating appointments, maintaining accurate patient information, and assisting patients with general questions related to scheduling, insurance, and services.

The ideal candidate is professional, dependable, patient-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and visitors in a welcoming, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes while ensuring accurate documentation and data entry.
  • Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments with clinical staff.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient questions regarding appointments, services, insurance, and general information.
  • Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in accordance with organizational policies and applicable healthcare regulations.
  • Assist patients with billing questions, payment processing, and other front-desk needs as appropriate.
  • Communicate effectively with clinical and administrative staff to support efficient patient flow.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare, medical office, administrative, or customer service setting preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic proficiency with computers, office applications, and electronic record systems.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team.
