Job summary

The US Oncology Network seeks a Patient Services Representative to support the Gynecology Oncology department at the Central Austin location. This full-time role runs Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:30pm with no weekends, call, or major holidays.

Entry to Sr levels based on experience, with a focus on billing, insurance verification, and patient financial counseling. Responsibilities include collecting and reviewing insurance data, processing payments, obtaining pre-authorization, and guiding patients through

Qualifications

• Must have frontline medical office experience preferred.
• Ability to verify insurance and explain coverage to patients.
• Strong numerical aptitude for co-pays and payments.

Responsibilities

• Ensure insurance, demographic and eligibility data are collected and entered accurately.
• Collect co-pays, deductibles and other payments at visit.
• Obtain pre-authorization for services as needed.
• Counsel patients and families on insurance and payment options.
• Follow up on accounts and resolve payment issues.
• Assist patients with community resources and financial support.
