Job summary

The US Oncology Network is seeking a Patient Services Representative to join the Gynecologic Oncology team at the Central Austin location. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm, with no weekends or major holidays.

Levels 1–Sr depend on candidate experience, offering a path for growth within a large oncology network. Responsibilities include insurance verification, eligibility, pre-authorization, patient counseling on financial aspects, and follow-up on accounts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 0–3 years of medical business office experience for Level 1.
• 3–5 years medical business office experience for Level 2.
• Minimum five years medical business office experience for Level Sr.

Responsibilities

• Ensure insurance, demographic, and eligibility information is collected and entered accurately.
• Collect co-pays, deductibles, and other out-of-pocket amounts at the visit.
• Verify insurance, obtain pre-authorization, and advise patients on benefits and financial obligations.
• Post items, balance receipts, and prepare deposits as needed.
• Review EOBs for consistency and submit claims for payment.
• Resolve patient questions/complaints regarding billing and adjust accounts as necessary.
• Follow up on assigned accounts and employ collection techniques to maintain current status.
• Set up financial arrangements with patients when needed.
• Assist patients with researching community resources including housing, transportation, and medications.
