Northwest Specialty Hospital in Spokane is seeking a detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator for our Inland Shoulder Clinic. The role requires professionalism under stress, excellent customer service, and the ability to multitask in a busy medical office.

Responsibilities include patient registration, pre-registration, document collection for billing, processing payments, updating records, and handling calls. Strong computer skills and prior clerical or medical office experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Typing at least 40 words per minute.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service background.
• Ability to relate and work effectively with others.
• Prior clerical or medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register and Pre-register patients to ensure smooth transitions.
• Prepare pre-registration packets for procedures and collect necessary documents for billing.
• Process co-payments and payments; update medical records.
• Back up incoming calls and direct to appropriate department.
• Perform nightly closing procedures for the clinic.
• Call patients for pre-registration notification including copays and deductibles.
