Job summary

Northwest Specialty Hospital in Post Falls, ID is seeking a detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator to join the Axis Spine Center team. You will handle registration, pre-registration, billing support, and front-desk tasks to keep patient flow smooth.

The role requires strong computer skills, fast typing, excellent communication, and the ability to work under pressure. Prior clerical or medical office experience is preferred, and the hospital offers robust benefits and a supportive work culture.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to type at least 40 words per minute.
• Ability to relate and work effectively with others.
• Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Prior clerical or medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register and pre-register patients to facilitate service flow.
• Prepare pre-registration packets for each procedure.
• Obtain copies of documentation to support billing and collections.
• Process co-payments and payments.
• Register patients and update medical records.
• Back up incoming calls and direct to appropriate person/department.
• Perform nightly closing procedures for clinic.
• Call patients for pre-registration notification including copays and deductibles.
• Other duties as assigned.
