Job summary

CityMD is seeking a Patient Service Representative to warmly welcome incoming patients and register them efficiently at our New York sites. You will coordinate with the team to ensure timely patient turnaround, answer questions with urgency and kindness, and handle all registration paperwork.

You will enter/update patient information, assist with forms, scan medical records, verify insurance, and process co-pays while delivering exceptional customer service in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience in high-volume service environments preferred.
• Bilingual abilities may be required or preferred by location.
• Strong computer proficiency and accurate data entry (~55 wpm).
• Ability to interact effectively with physicians, patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients.
• Organize and coordinate patient intake and appointments.
• Enter/update patient information in the system.
• Assist patients with paperwork as needed.
• Scan, update and file medical records.
• Answer phone calls promptly and politely.
• Verify insurance and address questions with Billing.
• Process cash and co-payments accurately.
• Provide outstanding customer service to every patient.
• Inform site manager of waiting times and inquiries.
