• Verify insurance, benefits, and referrals; obtain IDs and validate coverage.
• Explain payment policies and provide upfront financial counseling at check-in.
• Advise patients of financial obligations and collect funds per guidelines.
• Act as liaison for patients, physicians, and staff to facilitate care.
• Notify relevant parties about appointments, referrals, and prior authorizations.
• Train other patient services representatives and maintain HIPAA compliance.
