Piedmont Urgent Care by WellStreet in Newnan, GA is recruiting a Patient Service Representative (Medical Receptionist) to be the friendly first contact for patients, manage front-office operations and support clinic workflow in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

You will greet patients, verify insurance benefits, collect payments, maintain confidential documents, and collaborate with providers and the practice manager while upholding HIPAA and OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Administrative Assistant certificate a plus.
• 1+ year of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and multitasking in a busy environment.
• Experience using EMR software, EPIC preferred.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, including some weekends and holidays.
• Team-oriented, proactive, patient-focused customer service.

Responsibilities

• Warm Welcome: Greet and assist patients and visitors with a positive attitude.
• Patient and Business Documentation: Maintain confidentiality while organizing documents.
• Insurance Verification: Analyze benefits, verify eligibility, and explain policies.
• Financial Responsibility: Collect patient payments and explain costs clearly.
• Collaborative Support: Assist the practice manager, providers, and staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Compliance: Adhere to HIPAA and OSHA requirements and maintain proper documentation.
• Travel Requirement: Support staffing by traveling to other Piedmont Urgent Care locations as needed.
