Job summary

Piedmont Urgent Care is seeking a Patient Service Representative to be the first point of contact for patients, handling front-office operations and administrative tasks within a fast-paced clinic. The role emphasizes friendly service, accuracy, and teamwork to support smooth daily workflows.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, processing documents, verifying insurance, collecting payments, and assisting management and staff while maintaining HIPAA and OSHA compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Administrative Assistant certificate is a plus.
• At least 1 year of experience as Medical Receptionist or Patient Services Representative.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail; ability to multitask in a busy clinic.
• Experience with EMR software; EPIC preferred.
• Willing to work 12-hour shifts (7 AM–7 PM) with rotating weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Warm Welcome: Greet patients and visitors with a positive attitude.
• Patient and Business Documentation: Maintain confidentiality and organize documents.
• Insurance Verification: Verify eligibility and provide policy and billing information.
• Financial Responsibility: Collect patient payments with transparency.
• Collaborative Support: Assist practice manager, providers, and staff as needed.
• Compliance: Follow HIPAA/OSHA and other regulatory guidelines.
