Job summary

University of Utah Health is seeking a senior operations leader to oversee the non-clinical functions of an assigned department. You will ensure efficient planning, organizing, and controlling of internal operations while aligning human resources and finances with strategic goals.

This role acts as a liaison between staff, patients and providers, driving service continuity and quality, with a focus on building strong relationships, process improvements, and accurate budget management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or the equivalency.
• Four years of progressively more responsible leadership experience.
• Master's degree in a related field, or the equivalency.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and control all internal operations of the assigned department.
• Manage budgetary information and business objectives, including HR and financial management operations.
• Coordinate between the department and its customers and staff to ensure continuity and quality of service.
• Supervise non-clinical staff and act as a direct representative of the provider/clinic during patient visits.
• Support patient/family interactions and coordinate with medical treatment while clinical care remains with clinicians.
