University of Utah Health seeks a department supervisor to coordinate daily operations at the Redwood Health Center in Salt Lake City. You will hire and train staff, schedule shifts, enforce standards, and monitor safety and quality while maintaining department records and stock levels.

This non-clinical role emphasizes HIPAA compliance, performance evaluations, budget support, and cross-team collaboration in a 24/7 healthcare environment.

Formación

• Associate degree or equivalent in a related field.
• One year of related experience.
• Depending upon department of hire, a valid, State of Utah Driver’s License may be required.
• Depending upon department of hire, a valid CDL license with HAZMAT endorsement may be required.

Responsabilidades

• Supervises daily department operations including interviewing, hiring, training, and scheduling.
• Enforces written standards, policies, and procedures, and initiates corrective action.
• Evaluates performance to ensure standards are met.
• Resolves problems and expedites service to hospital departments.
• Monitors safety and quality assurance by inspecting processes.
• Maintains department records and monthly reports.
• Monitors, orders and maintains stock of supplies and equipment.
• Participates in hospital committees and meetings.
• May assist in budget preparation.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
