Job summary

Laboratory Sciences of Arizona in Tempe, AZ is seeking a lead phlebotomy technician to supervise departmental operations and act as a liaison between staff and Patient Services management.

You will perform advanced technical and administrative tasks, support quality improvement efforts, ensure regulatory compliance, and mentor team members in phlebotomy/test management while delivering excellent patient service.

Qualifications

• Education consistent with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years’ experience in phlebotomy/test management in a clinical lab.
• Ability to solve problems and lead others.
• Effective oral and written communication, and strong computer skills.
• Excellent customer service and familiarity with regulatory requirements.
• Confident leadership and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as initial resource and liaison between staff, other departments and Patient Services management.
• Assist, resolve and report to and under the guidance of the area Supervisor.
• Perform all technical or administrative work at an advanced level of competency.
• Actively participate in patient and process quality improvement while ensuring regulatory compliance.
