Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Bellevue/Overlake is seeking a Patient Services Representative for a Per Diem onsite role Monday through Friday. You will serve as the primary contact for patients and families, manage check‑in processes, and deliver patient‑centered customer service.

Responsibilities include greets, triage questions, handle paperwork, schedule where needed and verify information. The role offers per diem pay and benefits like retirement plan and paid sick leave.

Qualifications

• Required: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Six months to one year experience in customer service environment.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, complex healthcare environment.
• Effective time management and independent task handling.
• Clear written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Greet and screen patients arriving for appointments and check them in using an automated scheduling system.
• Assemble and distribute appropriate paperwork to patients, families, caregivers and clinical staff.
• Triage questions and concerns from callers and forward to appropriate staff or department as needed.
• Perform general clerical duties including processing mail, taking inventory and ordering office supplies.
• Activate provider orders (Alliance Lab only).
• May schedule patient appointments and facilitate patient flow.
• Verify demographic, clinical and financial information with patients as required.
