Job summary

Root Center for Advanced Recovery is hiring a Patient Service Representative for a full-time 35-hour week in New Britain, CT. The role focuses on warm patient greetings, check-in responsibilities, and front-desk support with strong emphasis on accuracy and organization.

The candidate will handle telephone inquiries, scheduling, basic billing duties, and EMR updates, while upholding a welcoming patient experience and efficient lobby operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent
• Experience with medical records and patient interaction is preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential

Responsibilities

• Answering telephone in a polite and timely manner and directing calls to the appropriate staff
• Check-in duties: verify patient information, process lab slips, and prepare U/A samples
• Handle administrative/billing tasks: collect fees, process insurance, and maintain records
• Prepare daily and weekly reports and reconcile client fees
• Maintain inventory and restock supplies for the front desk and lobby area
