Job summary

Root Center for Advanced Recovery in New Britain, CT seeks a Patient Service Representative to deliver exceptional patient service, warmly greet and check-in patients, and direct them based on urgency while maintaining a clean, inviting lobby.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (or a 2-year business degree with 1 year secretarial experience), strong communication, teamwork, and familiarity with Electronic Medical Records.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED equivalency; three (3) years general secretarial experience; or a two-year business degree with one-year secretarial experience.
• Must possess effective communication skills and a customer‑focused approach.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records preferred; strong computer skills and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check-in patients; evaluate priority and direct to staff.
• Handle administrative duties including billing, records, and correspondence.
• Maintain lobby area and ensure a clean, welcoming environment; support lab processing and reports.
• Prepare and process reports, manage inventory, and assist staff as needed.
