Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college or post-high school training desired.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a customer service/general office environment.
• Understanding of healthcare operations and health insurance guidelines (HMO’s).
• Exceptional customer service, communication and interpersonal skills daily with internal/external customers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform the daily operations of the clinic and Front Desk duties: answer inbound calls, place outbound calls, monitor voicemail, schedule initial and continuing appointments, registration and monitoring outpatient schedule to maximize capacity.
• Facilitate the check-in process: registration, verify insurance, collect demographics, and check forms for completeness.
• Identify and resolve patient and family issues with follow-through to ensure resolution.
• Post patient payments, issue receipts, and complete cash reports for daily and monthly accounting.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and allocate patients into available time slots as per clinician templates.
• Scan and fax patient documents and perform other duties as assigned.
