Job summary

Shirley Ryan AbilityLab in Northbrook, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide individualized nursing care, coordinate treatment plans, and educate patients and families. You will work within a collaborative team to implement evidence-based care for diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities include data collection, nursing diagnoses, and medication administration, with a focus on improving outcomes. Strong communication, critical thinking, and CPR/BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Illinois license to practice as a registered nurse.
• Current CPR or BLS certification.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for patients and coordinate care with teams.
• Collect pertinent data to formulate nursing diagnoses.
• Assist physician during examinations and treatments.
• Develop and modify individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on care, outcomes, and home care.
• Prepare and provide reports on patient care plans to health team members.
• Review policies to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Report to the Nurse Manager.
