Job summary

EvergreenHealth in Kirkland, WA is hiring a Patient Services Representative to be the first point of contact for patients in a fast-paced clinical environment. You will coordinate schedules, registrations, and outreach while maintaining high service standards.

The role requires a High School diploma and about 1 year of customer service experience, with strong communication and problem-solving abilities. Training on Epic EMR and Real Time Eligibility portals may be provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in a customer service role.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills with diverse individuals.
• Ability to problem solve, stay calm under pressure and respond professionally.
• Strong written communication and legible spelling.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Active listening and de-escalation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow protocols.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient scheduling and registrations, including in-person or virtual visits.
• Manage multi-line calls and route urgent inquiries to clinical staff.
• Verify insurance coverage and educate on co-pays and self-pay options.
• Enroll patients on the portal and explain its benefits.
• Assist with patient communications and outreach
• Maintain patient waiting and staff areas per infection control standards.
• Support referral processing and health information management workflow.
