Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in a customer service role.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including the capacity to communicate with a diverse range of individuals.
• Ability to problem solve, stay calm under pressure, and present oneself professionally.
• Strong written communication skills with proper spelling and legibility.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Active listening and de-escalation techniques.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and navigate protocols and guidelines.
• Keyboarding skills and Windows-based software proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of patient scheduling, including in-person and virtual visits.
• Set up interpreter services as needed.
• Verify and explain insurance coverage and co-pays across systems.
• Promote patient portal enrollment and assist with enrollment steps.
• Manage multi-line phone system and patient communications.
• Direct urgent symptoms to clinical staff for screening and care coordination.
• Handle messages, coordinate with clinic staff, and manage work queues.
• Prepare letters, portal messages, or calls with pertinent information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
