Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates' or Bachelor's degree in a clinical or business field preferred.
• 1-2 years in medical or healthcare office experience.
• Bilingual is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets and registers patients; verifies insurance.
• Answers calls, evaluates priority, directs according to urgency.
• Provides information to new patients per policies; updates demographics.
• Collects co-payments and explains billing policies.
• Schedules new patient appointments and pre-cert prep.
• Schedules follow-up and completes requisitions.
• Resolves patient/clinician issues; escalate when needed.
• Reconciles billing and co-pays; refer problems to Billing.
• Maintains inventory and reception area.
• Provides back-up support to front desk staff.
• Collaborates to improve processes and patient experience.
