Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or higher required.
• 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in medical office.
• Experience with insurance verification and medical billing processes.

Responsibilities

• Import patient information from portals and pharmacies.
• Verify insurance coverage and determine co-pays.
• Obtain copies of driver’s license and insurance cards.
• Validate patient information at check-in and update medical history annually.
• Enter referrals for Medicaid, Tricare, BCBS, and other policies.
• Process payments and provide receipts; handle voids per supervisor.
• Schedule tests, referrals, and follow-ups; coordinate with departments.
• Send prescriptions electronically to selected pharmacies.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance when handling patient data.
• Maintain accurate chart notes and communicate with staff as needed.
