Job summary

BJC HealthCare in Sullivan, Missouri seeks a full-time Patient Services Representative to be the first point of contact in a busy outpatient setting. You will manage check-ins, scheduling, and patient billing while ensuring accuracy and friendly service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2-5 years experience in patient services.
• Experience in outpatient or medical office environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handles telephone calls from patients and staff; forwards calls requiring triage.
• Maintains patient check-ins and appointment scheduling.
• Verifies health insurance information and educates patients on applicable regulations; collects payments.
• Performs data entry of service charges and assigns diagnostic codes.
• Coordinates information with Central Billing Office to ensure charges are captured.
