Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in medical front desk or patient services
• Experience with insurance verification and patient payments is preferred
• Strong telephone and data entry skills

Responsibilities

• Handles telephone calls from patients and staff; forwards calls requiring triage.
• Performs receptionist duties with attention to detail and professionalism.
• Verifies health insurance information and educates patients on the applicable regulations; collects payments and records data.
• Performs data entry of service charges, including assignment of diagnostic codes and entering charges for physician and clinic services.
• Coordinates information with Central Billing Office to ensure all charges are captured and properly collected.
