Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a healthcare or customer service-related field.
• Experience scheduling appointments, checking patients in/out, insurance verification and collecting co-pays.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and EMR software; knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and manage wait time.
• Assist patients with intake processes and document copies.
• Collect co-payments, co-insurance and deductibles and issue receipts.
• Manage cashier box and daily deposits per policy.
• Process walk-in patients and visitors.
• Answer phones and schedule appointments.
• Manage medical records and keep logs up to date.
• Ensure correspondence is scanned or filed timely.
• Handle requests for medical records release and logs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
