Job summary

Good Shepherd Rehabilitation is seeking a patient service representative to greet visitors, determine visit purposes, and direct them to the appropriate staff. You will manage front-desk duties, schedule patient appointments, and guide patients through intake and insurance forms.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Associate's Degree preferred.
• IDX Certification required.
• Sunrise Billing system certification may be required.
• Experience in healthcare settings preferred.
• Excellent patient service and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors, ascertain purpose of visit and direct to staff.
• Schedule, cancel and confirm patient appointments.
• Verify insurance and obtain authorizations.
• Assist billing with insurance denials and charge entry.
• Maintain patient records and confidentiality.
• Operate phones, emails, and direct correspondence.
• Transmit medical records by mail, email, or fax.
• Ensure a clean and organized work area and disinfect equipment.
• Participate in daily log recording.
