Job summary

CLS Health in Houston, TX seeks a Patient Service Coordinator I to manage clerical tasks, support patient flow, and ensure a high-quality patient experience in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities include pre-registering patients, verifying accounts and insurance, scheduling, checking in/out, and documenting encounters while upholding HIPAA and CLS Core Values.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; healthcare administration education a plus.
• Spanish-speaking preferred.
• Proven experience in a healthcare environment.
• Strong communication skills and professionalism.
• Proficiency with EMR systems (ECW preferred).
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality and provide high-level customer service.
• Schedule appointments and assist with patient flow in the clinic.
• Pre-register patients and verify accounts and insurance.
• Answer calls, document interactions, and communicate with healthcare providers.
• Assist with check-in and check-out duties.
• Assist with follow-up care, appointment scheduling, and provide visit summaries.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment and manage medical records.
• Support medical personnel with clerical tasks and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
