Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; receptionist/office experience preferred.
• Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Must complete required e-learning courses within 90 days of occupying position.
• Demonstrates adaptability and commitment to quality.
• Complies with HIPAA laws and patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous and professional manner.
• Check in patients, inform clinical staff of arrival, and collect co-pays.
• Screen and route routine questions, or take thorough messages.
• Schedule returning appointments and provide details to patients.
• Maintain filing, demographics and insurance data; provide general admin support.
• Adhere to confidentiality, state/federal and HIPAA guidelines.
