Job summary

SunState Medical Specialists is seeking a Patient Services Specialist to ensure exceptional patient service, anticipate needs, and manage patient inquiries. The role includes directing patient flow, answering calls, maintaining records, and supporting physicians and staff.

Experience in medical administration, billing systems, and MS Office is preferred. Travel to other centers may be required. High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Administrative experience in a busy, customer-focused environment (medical preferred).
• Able to handle urgent matters and time-critical medical appointments.
• Strong organization and communication skills, with ability to liaise with internal/external stakeholders.
• Familiar with patient billing systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent patient service and respond to inquiries.
• Direct patient flow and monitor waiting areas.
• Handle patient billing and insurance questions.
• Schedule physician appointments and manage availability.
• Maintain patient records and documentation.
• Assist physicians and staff as needed.
