Job summary

Advocate Health’s Advocate Medical Group is seeking a Patient Service Representative to join the ambulatory care team. You’ll support providers, connect with patients, and help ensure a seamless, compassionate experience across rotating locations.

Responsibilities include delivering high-quality service at check-in, scheduling, and information on tests and procedures, bills, and referrals, while maintaining accurate records and patient privacy in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years related customer service experience.
• Experience handling difficult caller/customers/patients.

Responsibilities

• Provides efficient, high-quality service to patients who arrive for appointments or who telephone or visit in person to request appointments or information on tests and procedures, bills and charges, referrals, and other matters.
• Billing services: Ensures entry at time of service of billing information on the patient and payer and accurate follow-up on missing information.
• Medical record services: Upholds standards of the practice and of the medical group for accurate and timely medical records.
