Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking a Patient Services Ambassador at Charlton Memorial Hospital—Fall River, MA. This full-time role in a hospital setting focuses on ensuring patient and guest satisfaction, accurate meal selections, and adherence to dietary restrictions.

You will use the EPIC Platform for data entry and work closely with a dietitian to correct menus and ingredients. Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19, and

• High School Diploma or GED plus additional courses or training or the equivalent knowledge or experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure customer and patient satisfaction.
• Manage patient meal selections to be near mealtime.
• Adjust selections to diet restrictions with the patient.
• Update and correct patient-selected menus with patient knowledge; use the menu correction guide with the dietitian.
• Describe ingredients and features of all menu items.
• Enter patient food preferences into the Patient Services Software Platform.
• Perform duties using the EPIC Platform as needed.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.

We are searching for a talented Patient Services Ambassador

Hours: 40hrs

Shift: Day shift, 6:15am - 2:45pm, 6:30am - 3:00pm, as needed with weekend and holiday rotation

Location: Charlton Memorial Hospital - Fall River, MA

**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 24 hours.

Position reports to the Manager Patient Services or designee, Perform a variety of duties in ensuring customer and patient satisfaction. Ensures as directed that patient meal selections are as close to mealtime as possible. Adjust selections to diet restrictions WITH the patient. Update and correct patient-selected menus with patient knowledge only. Responsible to use menu correction guide utilizing as a resource assigned dietitian to avoid serious errors in menu correction. Must be able to describe ingredients and features of all menu items. Perform data entry of patient food preferences into the Patient Services Software Platform. Performs duties using the EPIC Platform as needed and or directed. Performs other reasonable duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or GED plus additional courses or training or the equivalent knowledge or experience preferred.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to exempt from vaccination once hired

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
