Job summary

Southcoast Health in New Bedford, MA is seeking a Patient Services Ambassador for the St. Luke's Hospital location. This 16-hour-per-week day-shift role includes weekend and holiday rotation from 6:30am to 3:00pm and reports to the Manager Patient Services.

You will ensure patient meal selections are accurate, enter preferences into the Patient Services Software, and work with the EPIC system as needed. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, and vaccination for influenza and COVID-19 is

• High School Diploma or GED plus additional courses or training or the equivalent knowledge or experience preferred.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and the COVID-19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement by signing a statement.

Responsibilities

• Position reports to the Manager Patient Services or designee.
• Ensure patient meal selections are as close to mealtime as possible and adjust selections to diet restrictions with the patient.
• Update and correct patient-selected menus with patient knowledge only.
• Perform data entry of patient food preferences into the Patient Services Software Platform.
• Perform duties using the EPIC Platform as needed and/or directed.

Hours: 16hrs

Shift: Day shift with weekend and holiday rotation; 6:30am - 3:00pm

Position reports to the Manager Patient Services or designee, Perform a variety of duties in ensuring customer and patient satisfaction. Ensures as directed that patient meal selections are as close to mealtime as possible. Adjust selections to diet restrictions WITH the patient. Update and correct patient-selected menus with patient knowledge only. Responsible to use menu correction guide utilizing as a resource assigned dietitian to avoid serious errors in menu correction. Must be able to describe ingredients and features of all menu items. Perform data entry of patient food preferences into the Patient Services Software Platform. Performs duties using the EPIC Platform as needed and or directed. Performs other reasonable duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or GED plus additional courses or training or the equivalent knowledge or experience preferred.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
• Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
