Job summary

CityMD is seeking a Patient Service Representative to warmly welcome patients, register them, and coordinate with the team to ensure timely service. You will handle patient questions with urgency and kindness, both on the phone and in person, and manage all registration paperwork with accuracy.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, excellent communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare setting. Bilingual skills are a plus depending on location.

Qualifications

• A High School Degree or GED.

• Experience in high-volume/high-intensity service industry preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and a team player.
• Computer proficiency and 55 wpm keyboarding.

• Ability to interact with physicians, patients and staff.
• Bilingual language skills based on site location.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and welcoming patients.
• Organizing and coordinating patient intake and other appointments.
• Accurately enters/updates patient information in the system.
• Assisting patients with completion of paperwork.
• Scanning, updating and filing medical records.
• Answering phone calls and questions promptly and politely.
• Processing medical insurance information and verifying eligibility; liaising with Billing as appropriate.
• Handling cash and co-payments accurately.
• Providing outstanding customer service to every patient.
• Informing site managers of waiting room wait times and inquiries.
