Job summary

CityMD is seeking a Patient Service Representative to warmly greet incoming patients, register them, and coordinate with the care team to ensure a timely turnaround. You will answer questions, handle paperwork, verify insurance, and maintain accurate patient records while delivering outstanding customer service.

A High School degree and strong communication skills are required; bilingual ability is a plus depending on site location.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required.
• Happy, welcoming, and can-do attitude with patients and coworkers.
• Experience in high-volume/high-intensity service industry preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and a team player.
• Computer proficiency and typing speed around 55 wpm.
• Flexible/adaptable to evolving healthcare environments.
• Passion for helping others in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to effectively interact with physicians, patients and staff.
• Bilingual skills may be required or preferred by site.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and welcoming patients.
• Organizing and coordinating patient intake and other appointments.
• Accurately entering/updating patient information in the system.
• Assisting patients with completion of paperwork.
• Scanning, updating and filing medical records.
• Answering phone calls and patient questions promptly.
• Processing insurance information and verifying eligibility.
• Handling cash and co-payments accurately.
• Providing outstanding customer service to every patient.
• Informing site manager of waiting room issues and inquiries.
