Job summary

Kessler Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to manage front-office operations in Montgomery/Somerset SPLIT. The role emphasizes patient scheduling, reception, medical records preparation, and accurate data handling. You will coordinate with staff to ensure smooth clinic flow and reliable reporting.

Applicants should have a high school diploma and prior medical office experience. Availability for early mornings and evenings Monday–Friday is required; compensation ranges

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years in medical office setting preferred.

• Basic computer skills including keyboard, word processing, and general office procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to patients, staff, and referral sources through front-office coordination.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage reception duties.
• Prepare medical records, clinic statistics, and reports; collect and disseminate demographics and payer information.
• Obtain and track authorizations; assist with daily bank deposits for over-the-counter cash.
• Demonstrate exceptional communication skills in a fast-paced environment.

Kessler Rehabilitation CenterPosition: Patient Service Specialist

Location: Montgomery/Somerset SPLIT

Schedule: Monday-Friday Varied shifts from 7:00am-7:00pm (Two evening shifts required)

Compensation: $20-$24 hourly depending on years of experience

Responsibilities

Ensures the highest level of customer service to patients, fellow employees, and referrals sources through the coordination and administration of facility’s “front office” activities. Assures provision of office functions such as patient scheduling, reception duties, medical record preparation, clinic statistics and report compilation, data collection and dissemination, regarding but not limited to patient demographics and third party payers, and all other necessary clerical and office functions. Obtains and tracks authorizations. Collects, reconciles and prepares daily bank deposits for over the counter cash. Possesses exceptional communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Two years in medical office setting that required multi-tasking preferred.
• Knowledge of health insurance preferred.
• Basic knowledge of computers skills including but not limited to keyboard familiarity and word processing, office procedures, filing, verbal and written communication skills, fax, photocopy required
• Customer service and interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with staff members, supportive personnel, patients, physicians and community members required.
• Must be available early mornings and evenings for all shifts Monday – Friday.
