Job summary

Mercy Clinic Southfork Urology is seeking a Patient Service Representative to greet patients, register them, and manage check-in/out. You will handle phones, scheduling, and clerical tasks within a busy outpatient setting.

You will support EPIC charting, verify patient information, and maintain accurate records while providing exceptional service to patients and families. A high school diploma and customer service attitude are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance, and billing processes.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients; verify identity and manage check‑in/check‑out
• Answer phones and perform clerical tasks including Epic charting, scanning, faxing, and document handling
• Schedule appointments, procedures, and testing; provide timely estimates and Good Faith Estimates
• Monitor provider schedules, communicate delays, and coordinate with staff to ensure efficient clinic flow
• Maintain accurate registration, EHRs, and assigned work queues
• Handle patient concerns professionally and elevate to management as needed
• Manage daily cash drawer, accounts receivable tasks, and payment plans
• Support EPIC updates, departmental initiatives, and clinic communications
• Maintain a safe, clean reception area and adhere to safety, privacy and infection control policies
• Perform other duties as assigned

Position Details:

Patient Service Representative – Mercy Clinic Southfork Urology

Location: 12700 Southfork Rd. Saint Louis, MO 63128

Schedule:Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (40 hours/week)

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Customer service experience preferred
