Mercy Clinic Urology at Southfork in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and the clinical team with rooming patients, taking vital signs, and coordinating care.
You will assist with procedures, medication reconciliation, testing, and care coordination in a fast-paced outpatient setting, with a weekday schedule and no weekends.

Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred Education: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Preferred Experience: One year of applicable patient care experience or applicable medical office experience as defined by the clinic
- New hires must attend MA Clinic Academy training
Responsibilities
- Room patients and obtain vital signs
- Assist physicians and APPs with patient care and procedures
- Prepare and maintain instruments and clinical equipment
- Prepare and stock exam rooms
- Perform point-of-care testing
- Complete medication reconciliation and administer injections as appropriate
- Assist with basic in-basket messages and medication refill requests
- Complete documentation and scanning
- Communicate patient needs and updates with physicians and APPs
- Assist with appointment scheduling and medical record requests
- Enter diagnostic and ancillary orders
- Follow HIPAA, OSHA, PPE, quality, and safety standards

- Outpatient specialty clinic with frequent patient interaction
- Fast-paced, team-oriented clinical environment

- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform job duties
