Job summary

Allergy Partners is seeking a Patient Service Representative to register patients, answer calls, schedule appointments, and collect payments at the point of service. You will post charges and assist with referrals and test scheduling while balancing daily transactions per policy.

Join a patient-focused team in a supportive practice environment that values collaboration, growth, and strict HIPAA and compliance adherence. Training will cover practice management and EMR workflows.

Qualifications

Minimum of two years of experience in a medical office or customer service position.
Proven success asking for payment, making change, and balancing a cash drawer.
Familiarity with scheduling and rearranging appointments effectively.
Working knowledge of practice management and electronic health record software. GE Centricity is a plus.
Bi-lingual is a plus, not required.

Responsibilities

Answers the telephone professionally and pleasantly; screens calls and schedules appointments.
Screens visitors and responds to routine information requests from patients and vendors.
Maintains front office equipment and supplies; processes mail and faxes.
Verifies demographic and insurance information; ensures proper posting of charges.
Checks out patients; collects payments and arranges payment plans as needed.
Balances daily transactions and prepares daily close packets.
