As a Patient Service Representative at PRN Physical Therapy, you'll be an essential part of our team, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to ensure a smooth and positive experience for our patients.

Essential Job Functions
  1. Patient Interaction:
    • Greet and welcome patients with professionalism and warmth.
    • Schedule appointments and manage patient inquiries both in person and over the phone.
    • Collect and verify patient information, insurance details, and necessary documentation accurately.
    • Help create a positive work environment and culture of the clinic, ensuring patient needs are taken care of during transitional periods of therapy. Provide excellent customer service with a smile.
  2. Administrative Support:
    • Maintain patient records and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate.
    • Assist in keeping front office area neat, tidy, and organized.
    • Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure a seamless patient experience.
    • Assist front office with tasks during downtime, including answering phones, scanning documents, scheduling, taking payments, filing, faxing, etc.
  3. Communication and Coordination:
    • Liaise effectively between patients, clinical staff, and other departments.
    • Communicate clearly and professionally to address patient concerns or questions.
  4. Miscellaneous Operations:
    • Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
    • Assist in managing inventory and ordering supplies.
    • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvement.
    • Ensure cleanliness and organization of therapy areas and equipment, including daily cleaning, laundry, and stocking supplies.
  5. Physical Requirements:
    • Sitting for prolonged periods at a desk.
    • Manual dexterity for using a computer and performing tasks.
    • Clear vision for reading documents.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
    • Occasional movement within the office environment.
  6. Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration is a plus.
    • Experience in customer service; healthcare setting preferred.
    • Proficiency in office software and scheduling systems.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling patient information.
