Job summary

Asante in Grants Pass, OR is seeking a Patient Service Rep to support patient flow and administrative tasks in a community healthcare setting.

You'll greet patients, schedule appointments, handle registrations and preauthorizations, serve as liaison between patients and staff, and maintain records with accurate data entry; this role also acts as cashier and referral clerk, ensuring smooth office operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience demonstrating the ability to effectively communicate as needed for the position is required
• Previous clerical, administrative, healthcare, or customer service experience, or equivalent education, is required.

Starting Wage:$16.99-$23.38 per hour, depending on experience

Position Summary

Under general supervision, thePatient Service Repperforms a variety of support functions for a department and/or program. Duties may include all or part of the following: Greeting, instructing, directing patients and visitors; scheduling, registering, and obtaining preauthorization for treatment from insurance, Medicare, or other agencies for patients; serving as liaison between patient and medical support staff; functioning as cashier, receptionist, and referral clerk as well as maintaining records and completing data entry; and monitoring office services and supplies.
