Job summary

Edward-Elmhurst Health in Naperville, IL is seeking a Patient Service Representative for the OBGYN location. You will handle in-patient and out-patient pre-registrations, registrations, order management, and cash collection, with strong attention to accuracy and patient service.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or GED, an Associates degree preferred, and at least 2 years in healthcare registration or patient accounts. Bilingual skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Associates Degree in Business Administration/Management preferred.
• 2 years of registration, scheduling, patient accounts, cash collections or customer service in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Pre-register and register in-patients, out-patients, ER and same-day surgery patients.
• Manage orders, charge capture and cash collection.
• Collect and verify demographic, insurance and clinical data.
• Screen third-party eligibility and enter medical necessity coding.
• Explain revenue cycle processes to patients and offer payment options.
