Job summary

Rush University Medical Center in Greenville, OH is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to support the front desk of our outpatient physical therapy center. You will greet patients, register them, schedule appointments, and communicate with insurers, attorneys, and care teams to ensure a smooth visit.

This full-time role offers a Monday-Thursday 8am-6pm and Friday 8am-3pm schedule and payment of $16.50 per hour, with benefits including PTO and healthcare plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred: 1 Year Front Desk experience.
• Preferred: Healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team.
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.
