Job summary

Rush University Medical Center’s outpatient physical therapy center in Belle Vernon, PA is hiring a Patient Service Specialist. This full-time role requires coordinating front-desk activities, greeting patients, registering them, and preparing them for visits.

The position includes scheduling, handling co-pays, and coordinating with insurers and other partners. The schedule is Monday–Friday with 2-3 evenings per week, and compensation is $16.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED
• Health Care Experience
• Preferred: 1 Year Front Desk experience

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone
• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications
