Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare Inc. seeks a Patient Service Representative to be the first contact for patients, delivering courteous service in person, by phone or through secure messaging.

You will verify demographics, register patients, and assist with insurance details in a fast-paced clinic setting. The role requires strong communication, basic computer skills, and a collaborative approach to ensure a superior patient experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of customer service experience.
• Basic computer skills for word processing and data entry.
• Ability to protect privacy and PHI of patients and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Greet, check-in and check-out patients and handle inquiries.
• Schedule appointments, tests, referrals and consults.
• Enter and verify demographic and insurance data in the registration system.
• Gather insurance cards/IDs and signatures; assist with billing forms.
• Educate patients on financial responsibilities and assist with forms.
