Job summary

MyEyeDr. is recruiting for a Patient Service Coordinator to coordinate our front desk during check in/out and deliver a best-in-class patient experience. Training will be provided, no optical experience required, and some weekend/evening shifts are expected.

This role reports to the Office General Manager and involves verifying insurance, managing calls, greeting patients, and supporting office staff. You may cross-train to Eyewear Consultants and Optometric Technicians as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in a front desk, reception, or customer facing role supporting administrative duties.
• Organized with ability to prioritize multiple tasks under pressure.
• Flexible, nimble and adaptable; wear multiple hats.
• Friendly, patient-centric and team-oriented with strong communication.
• Proficient with computers and written/oral communication.
• Problem-solving and responsive to patient service requests.

Responsibilities

• Provide patients a personalized check in/out experience that is timely and seamless.
• Educate patients on insurance options during check in/out.
• Assist with appointment confirmations and outreach based on Doctor availability.
• Multitask by managing multiple phone lines, greeting patients and walk-ins, scheduling appointments and assisting staff.
• Cross-train to other office support roles such as Eyewear Consultants and Optometric Technicians as needed.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to provide a seamless patient experience.
